About Councilman Ed Zipprich
Councilman Ed Zipprich has been nominated to run as the Democratic Candidate for Assembly in the 11th Legislative District of New Jersey. He was graduated from Msgr. Farrell HS, the State University of New York and attended graduate school at Pace University. Ed dedicates much of his time to Red Bank as Councilman and serves as the Red Bank Democratic Chairman. He helped to establish the Washington Street Historic District and ushered the “Safe Routes to School” bike/pedestrian study through the Council and Planning Board. Ed is the Chair of the Department of Public Utilities, liaison to the Planning Board and is a member of the Finance/Personnel, Community Vision and Education/Technology committees. Councilman Zipprich also served on the Monmouth County Transportation Council, Kaboom Fireworks and Parking Advisory committees. Ed has lived in Red Bank for 15 years with his partner JP and his daughter

Councilman Ed Zipprich has been a tireless advocate for LGBT Equality and Inclusion. In 2011, he was endorsed by the Victory Fund--a national organization that works to elect LGBT candidates.
